- The MTA has a new president! On Monday, MTA New York City Transit welcomed its new President, Andy Byford. Byford has been working in the transportation field since 1989. He most recently served as the head of the Toronto Transit Commission.
- If you’re looking to visit famed Grimaldi’s Pizza this weekend, you’ll be disappointed. The Health Department has temporarily shut it down. Don’t fret; the restaurant is working hard with the department to reopen as quickly as possible. We hope to have our friends back soon!
- Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams has announced a new plan to help homeless persons living in the borough. Adams has invested in a mobile shower service made from a converted school bus. The bus, complete with two shower stalls, soap, clean towels and clean undergarments, will travel to a variety of different neighborhoods. The bus is expected to start rolling by 2019.
