The DUMBO Improvement District, in partnership with BBOX Radio, is thrilled to announce the launch of TunnelVision:DUMBO, a seasonal series of community-centric dance events taking place in the Archway under the Manhattan Bridge. The inaugural event on Saturday, August 16 will feature a lineup of DJs spinning everything from world beat to soul to house music, plus public art and family-friendly fun, MC’d by Tony-nominated Broadway star Sahr Ngaujah.

The event is free and open to all. “Our mission is to inspire creativity and build community using quality music, dance and art in a monumental public space,” says the TunnelVision team. “We’re putting a 21st century spin on the traditional Brooklyn block party.” “Think of it as a mash-up between Brooklyn Museum’s First Saturday and PS1 Warm Up, with a DUMBO twist,” said Alexandria Sica, executive director of the DUMBO Improvement District.
