Learn the art of editing while working on a new film starring two-time Oscar winner Dianne Wiest & Oscar nominee Rosie Perez
The six-week Art of Editing course at the Edit Center gives students a unique opportunity to learn from experienced film editors while working on a real film. The class project for January is Five Days in Maine, starring David Oyelowo (recently named one of Variety’s 10 actors to watch), Dianne Wiest (Hannah and Her Sisters, HBO’s “In Treatment”) and Rosie Perez (Do the Right Thing, Pineapple Express). Directed by Maris Curran and shot by acclaimed cinematographer Sofian El Fani (Blue Is The Warmest Color), the film follows a young African American man who travels to rural Maine in the wake of his wife’s death to seek answers from his estranged mother-in-law.
