Brooklyn has long been considered an art destination, the New York borough that attracts young artists. So it’s no surprise that Brooklyn boasts an impressive collection of art galleries which display a variety of local work. Here are six great galleries throughout Brooklyn, located in Williamsburg, Dumbo, Red Hook, Bushwick, and Gowanus.
Cinders (Williamsburg)
Cinders Gallery is all about community, and has called Williamsburg home for the past seven years. It’s a non-profit, artist-owned organization that has hosted hundreds of exhibitions, installations, music shows, readings, talks, and performances.
