All Brooklynites with a sweet tooth take note: the borough is jam packed with awesome candy stores that will satisfy your inner child. These five candy shops in Bay Ridge, Dumbo, Cobble Hill, Bed Stuy, and Crown Heights are the place to go for just about any type of sugary confection.
Deliso Confections (Bay Ridge)
This is the Brooklyn destination for chocolate lovers. Deliso Confections produces handmade specialties like bon-bons, truffles, chocolate bars, almond toffee, sea salt caramels, peanut brittle, marshmallows, and chocolate-drizzled caramel corn. Oh, they’ve got hand-dipped Oreos and pretzels too. Everything is made on premise, and it tastes as good as it sounds. Salivating yet?

Dewey’s Candy (Dumbo)
This is the candy store that kids dream about. The bright, colorful shop sells gummies, sours, and fun retro candies — many of which you can purchase in bulk. And there’s a selection of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and chocolate bars. Dewey’s is also a good spot to pick up a gift, as they sell candy in “gift buckets,” as well as some fun novelty items (including Pez dispensers!).

Sugar Shop (Cobble Hill)
Although Sugar Shop boasts a fun, contemporary design, it’s an old-school sweet shop at heart. The back wall is lined with a “nostalgic candy bar” where you’ll find Charleston Chews, saltwater taffy, Mary Janes, and Mallo Cups. In total, Sugar Shop sells around 150 types of candy, with a variety of chocolates, Jelly Bellys, lollipops, and Brooklyn-made candy. The shop also has its own side room to host candy-themed parties.

Sugarfly Alley (Bed-Stuy)
Sugarfly Alley is both a candy shop and a gift boutique, selling fun, sweet-themed gift items. The candy selection is vast: artisanal chocolates, caramels, marshmallows, lollipops, sours, gummies, licorice, gumballs, malt balls, and more. There’s also a variety of vegan and sugar free sweets. And the gift selection includes items like a salt water taffy necklace, cards, candles and jewelry.
